Title:  Indiana Theater (Facade), (sculpture). Dates:  1927. Digital Reference:  Medium:  Terra cotta. Dimensions:  Portrait reliefs: each approx. 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 ft.; Overall facade: approx. 64 x 44 x 2 ft. Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Highly ornamented terra cotta bas-relief building facade. The ornamentation around the central bay is in the Churrigueresque manner of Spanish Baroque architecture. At the top of the central arch is a diamond-shaped portrait medallion of Christopher Columbus. Near the top of the facade is a semi-circular niche topped with an ornamental concha. On either side is a round portrait medallion depicting King Ferdinand of Spain on the left; and Queen Isabella on the right. Above this is an entablature with royal griffins and swans and a crest with a shield and urn of pomegranates resting on a bull's head at the center.
