Remarks:
IAS files contain an information sheet from the Immaculate Conception School about the symbolism of the statue. The statue was a gift to the school from the youth of the Parish. The design of the statue is based upon an apparition of the Blessed Mother to St. Catherine Laboure, a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, in Paris, France, in the year 1830. The statue arrived aboard the S.S. Francesco Morosini from the Port of Leghorn, from Mr. Greville Cripps, Carrara, Italy.
