Totem pole sculpture, chain saw carved from three limbs of a Golden oak tree. The tree is turned upside down so that the main trunk and a large limb form the "legs" for the sculpture. On the main trunk is the large head of an Indian chief wearing a headdress, with a tom-tom, a diamondback rattlesnake, and large-mouth bass carved into the smaller limbs. In the big limb that shoots off to the side is an Indian maiden, with two braves below her. At the bottom of the branch is a horse's hoof. Also included on the sculpture is a foxhead and two foxtails. The sculpture is set directly on the ground.

Hilander, Gaylord & Fannie, 348 Johnson's Mill Road, Indian Summer Place, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324
    Remarks:
Sculpture was commissioned by Gaylord and Fannee Hilander, and carved from a 3,000 pound, 100 year old tree that was pulled from the dam at Johnson's Mill, near the Hilander's horse farm, Indian Summer Place. The horse's hoof on the sculpture is in tribute to their farm. The sculpture was named by Fannee Hilander, who incorporated the artist's name of Schu into "Schuemin."
