    Remarks: 
    The eagle was originally part of Pennsylvania Station in New York City until the station was destroyed in 1966. McKim, Mead & White was the architectural firm which designed Pennsylvania Station. The eagle was dedicated at Hampden-Sydney College in 1967 as a memorial to those killed in World War II. Nearby plaque reads: A MEMORIAL TO/THE BRAVE YOUNG MEN WHO/WILLINGLY WENT FROM DEATH/VALLEY INTO THE VALLEY OF/DEATH DURING WORLD WAR II/WILLIAM A LASHLEY, CLASS OF 1940.
