REILLY GLOUCESTER NEW JERSEY (Inscribed on front:) TO HER CITIZENS/WHO DIED IN DEFENSE OF THE UNION,/DURING THE LATE REBELLION/GLOUCESTER COUNTY DEDICATES/THIS MONUMENT./1867 (rank and names below and on sides and back of memorial) signed Description:  An obelisk with an American eagle on the pinnacle. The obelisk sits atop a multi-tiered base inscribed with names of war dead; and a bas-relief of military insignia comprised of a crossed sword and rifle, with bullet case over a flag and staff, topped by a military cap. On the east face above the inscription panel is a bas-relief medallion of two female figures flanking the New Jersey crest, with horse's head above.
