Remarks:
The sculpture is dedicated to Joseph E. Rapkin, who was an attorney for Mr. Froedtert, benefactor for the hospital. Rapkin was also one of three original trustees of the hospital. The sculpture was purchased from funds established by the Rapkin family. A nearby plaque on the pillar of the hospital entrance canopy reads: "This sculpture donated in/memory of Joseph E. Rapkin/whose ingenuity and dedication/to realize the vision of Kurtis R./Froedert/were essential to the/establishment of Froedtert/Memorial Lutheran Hospital./Artist: Thomas Queoff April 1992.
