    Description: 
    A granite monument consisting of a stepped base and a tall pier with a gabled pyramidal top, on which rests a large sphere finial. Above the dates inscribed on the base is a medallion, raised in a recessed circle, of the Seal of the United States. Text is inscribed on all four sides of the tall pier. Around the corners of the 40 ft. x 40 ft. veterans' burial plot, in which this monument sits, are four miniature (18 in. x 38 in.) granite versions of the central monument.
