    Remarks:
The First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson, MS was completed in 1859. The hand sculpture was originally carved in wood by Daniel Foley, a young local craftsman (MS000055). It deteriorated over time and was replaced with a metal one ca. 1901. IAS files contain a church bulletin which gives a brief history of the church.
