Remarks:
The painting, P.P. Carter's copy after Sir Edwin Landseer's painting titled "The Stag at Bay," was given to the Elks National Home by the Richmond members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks at the dedication of the new Elks National Home in July 1916. The home was sold to the current owners and the painting is still hanging in the home.
