    Description: 
    Two relief panels located at the entrance of the W.W.J. Radio Station. One panel depicts a group of five musicians playing music on various string and horn instruments. The other panel depicts a group of six listeners engaged with various degrees of involvement.

    The W.W.J. Radio Station was dedicated on Sept. 15, 1936. The porch over the sculpture was a later addition. IAS files include articles from: W. W. Lutz's "The News of Detroit," Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1973, pg. 90; and, Michigan Writers Project, "Michigan a Guide to the Wolverine State," New York: Oxford University Press, pg. 270. IAS files also contain a citation to the Detroit News, Sept. 16, 1936.
