Description:
A series of abstract gate and fence panels installed at each end of the courtyard area. Each panel consists of a grid of concentric squares, diamond shapes, and ribs. There are eight gate panels and six fence panels.

Remarks:
This sculpture is one of three installations of Louis Mueller's "Gate and Fence Panels" located at recreation centers in Phoenix parks. All three were funded through the Percent for Art Program of the Phoenix Arts Commission. (The other two installations are IAS records AZ000583 and IAS AZ000584.) The panels were fabricated by Arizona artists Lyle London and Gary Slater of Art and Metal in Tempe, Arizona. Installation and welding was performed by Kachina Steel of Phoenix. IAS files contain a photocopy of the dedication announcement.
