Rogers Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Victoria, Texas. June the Third A.D. Nineteen Hundred and Twelve. ON CIVILIZATIONS HEIGHT,/IMMUTABLE THEY STAND Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a man wearing a torn, ragged shirt and trousers. He carries a musket with both hands, the barrel of the gun points to the proper left. The man's head is turned and his gaze is directed to the proper left. The bronze sculpture stands atop a rough-hewn granite base consisting of three blocks stacked vertically. Attached to the front of the top block is a bronze wreath.
