Description:
Six abstract two-dimensional full-length figures, two adults and four children. The flat figures are made of stainless steel. Each adult, one male and one female, holds the hands of two children. Several of the children carry books. The sculpture is set on a free-form concrete base.

Remarks:
The sculpture was commissioned by the library board for $7,500 after being selected by the community in an invitational competition. The sculpture was commissioned for the new branch library. IAS files contain a copy of the competition invitation and copies of related articles from Dayton Daily News, Jan. 15 and June 18, 1986.
