Description:
A young girl, Sybil Ludington, riding sidesaddle on the proper left side of a horse. Her proper right hand is raised above her head and she clutches a branch, as a makeshift whip. She holds the reins of the horse in her proper left hand. Her mouth is open and she is shouting. She wears a dress and her hair is in a pony tail. One foot is in the stirrup.
