Remarks:
The artist spent nearly seven years creating the sculpture, one of the largest equine sculptures in the world. The SWA Group designed the setting, with employees James Reeves who served as project designer and Daniel Mock as project architect. IAS files contain transcription of text on adjacent granite plaque, which gives history of sculpture and awards it has won. IAS files also contain copy of Landscape Architect, Sept./Oct. 1985, which discusses the development of Williams Square and the landscaped setting.
