Remarks:
See IAS files for a 1991 news release from the Downtown Events Committee which provides owner and artist information. The cowboys were removed from Cowboy Park in December of 1990 to prevent further damage from inclement weather. They were then stored at the Convention Center, Ernest Tubb's Record Shop on Broadway and in the window of the Cain-Sloan Building at Fifth and Church until July 1991. In July 1991, one of the artists, Olin Calk, treated the sculpture and replaced the deteriorated foam rubber of the hands and faces and some of the found objects which had faded. He also recreated two missing hats.
