Description:
Two reliefs on the west side of the entrance to the building. Engineering is represented by the figures of two male engineers seated at a drafting table scrutinizing the skeleton of an animal. A male machinist translates the designs in the foreground. There are various wheels and gears behind him and piled on the floor in front of him. Research is represented by three scientists. In the foreground, a male agronomist is crouching by plant examining its fruit. Nearby, a male chemist seated at a lab table holds a test tube up to examine it. A woman biologist or botanist sits across from him with a microscope positioned in front of her. Under the table there is a box with two mice in it.
