    Remarks:
Sculpture was financed with contributions, mostly from Clark County school children. It was originally located beside the Old Boonesboro Road until 1966, when it was moved to make room for road construction. It was stored until the new Boonesboro Road was completed, and placed there. It was moved to College Park in 1985. Around 1984, the sculpture was repaired by sculpture students at Eastern Kentucky University, financed by the Winchester-Clark County Recreation, Tourist and Convention Commission. At the time, the face was replaced, as well as the right hand and the gun. In the summer of 1994, the sculpture was vandalized, and the right hand and gun were put into storage. Controversy has arisen over the facial features of the sculpture, which some of its critics have claimed do not resemble Boone's.
