    Description: 
    Lewis, Clark, York, and the dog Seaman overlooking the Sun River, Lewis showing where he and a grizzly bear had a confrontation in the river. Lewis and Clark are shown standing; Lewis with telescope in hand; Clark holding a spear with his proper right hand and pointing with his proper left hand. York (an African-American) crouches, holding a rifle in his proper right arm, and with his proper left arm around the dog's back.
