    Remarks:
Commissioned by the Ladies Auxiliary and the United States Spanish War Veterans, Birmingham Camp no. 1, to honor those who served in the Spanish American War, the Philippine Insurrection and the Boxer Rebellion. Attached articles from unidentified sources give location as Woodrow Wilson Park. The monument was dedicated with the pedestal only in 1944, since the statue was unavailable until after World War II. An attached article dated June 3, 1946, which has a picture of the monument, suggests that it was rededicated upon completion.
