    Description: 
    A standing portrait of Governor Curtin holding the lapel of his jacket with his proper left hand and holding a pair of gloves with his proper right hand. The sculpture rests atop a square base adorned with bronze reliefs. The relief on the right side of the base depicts Curtin with two small children in front of the Orphans School. The relief on the left side of the base depicts Curtin holding a flag in front of the Union Troops. The relief on the back of the base depicts Union troops parading past Curtin. The sculpture stands in the center of a Civil War Memorial consisting of two semicircular walls adorned with inscription plaques.
