    Description: 
    A four-faced, eight-armed seated Brahma within a canopied shrine that is in the center of a fenced-off square area. Brahma is seated on a bench. Three of its proper left arms are lifted upward, the hands holding a book, a shell, and a scepter. The fourth proper left arm rests on the proper left leg. Two of the proper right arms are lifted upward, the hands holding a scepter and a disk. One lowered proper right hand holds a vase atop the proper right knee. The fourth proper right arm crosses the figures chest. Around the structure are nine large wooden elephants, two ceramic vases, and four silver and gold "trees" (circular disks on a central pole of decreasing size as they descend).

    IAS files contain the text of two plaques on the shrine fence. The shrine is a replica of the Brahma Shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, outside the Erawan Hotel. The replica was cast in Bangkok, Thailand. This sculpture was sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Kamphol Vacharaphol and Mr. Yip Hon. IAS files contain newsclipping from Las Vegas Sun, Jan. 22, 1984, pg. 1B and Las Vegas Sun, Feb. 6, 1984, pg. 1B.
