    Remarks: 
    The inscription on a nearby bronze plaque reads: Mountain Monarchs/Three giant mule deer bucks take one look back/before disappearing over the aimrock, living/forever in the dreams of hunters and wildlife/enthusiasts. Crafted by artist Fred Hoppe and/based upon actual record-book animals, each/bronze deer is approximately three-times life/size, standing 19 feet tall and weighing an/incredible 5,000 pounds. The 300-inch non-typical/lead buck was taken in Colorado in 1961; the/amazing 306 2/8-inch non-typical below him was/harvested in New Mexico two years later. The third/buck, an impressive 209 2/8-inch typical,/roamed the wilds of Kansas when a hunter came/upon him in 1984.
