Dimensions:  Approx. 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 ft. Inscription:  (On plaque near figure's proper right foot:) 1975/"NEWSPAPER READER"/SCULPTURE BY J. SEWARD JOHNSON, JR. unsigned Description:  Full-length figure of a man seated on a bench reading a newspaper. He wears a suit, tie and hat. His proper left leg is crossed with his proper left ankle resting on his proper right knee. He holds the newspaper open with both hands. The torso of the figure is bronze; the newspaper, hands and head are manganese silicone bronze. The sculpture sits on a stone bench, possibly made of marble.
