    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was originally located on the south shore of Lake Loveland and was maintained by the City of Loveland, Visual Arts Commission. The sculpture remained at Lake Loveland for about ten years before it was relocated to its current site. IAS image files contain a postcard showing the sculpture in its original location on the south shore of Lake Loveland. A nearby plaque reads: IN HONOR/OF/THE REDMAN/PETER TOTH, SCULPTOR, IS CARVING AT LEAST ONE/INDIAN MONUMENT IN EACH OF THE 50 STATES/TO RAISE THE NATIONS CONSCIENCE TO THE PLIGHT/OF THE NATIVE AMERICANS/IT IS HIS GIFT TO THE PEOPLE MADE POSSIBLE/THROUGH COMMUNITY EFFORTS/PLAQUE DONATED BY/LOVELAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE/LOVELAND DEMOLAY CHAPTER.
