    Inscription: 
    (Plaque on inside of northernmost eagle:) The limestone eagles were created by Rene Chambellan in 1940/for the top of the Airlines Terminal Building, Park Avenue and/42nd Street, New York. The architect of the building was John/Peterkin./When the building was demolished in 1978 for the new/headquarters of Philip Morris Inc., the eagles were dismantled/and transported to Richmond. They were reinstalled at the Best/Products Co., Inc. corporate headquarters building in 1980. unsigned
    Description: 
    Two identical Art Deco style limestone eagles flank an entrance walkway. Each has a concrete slab backing and supports a light fixture (20 feet tall).

    Remarks: 
    The eagles were created in 1940 for the Airlines Terminal Building in New York City. When the building was demolished in 1978, the eagles were dismantled. In 1980, they were reinstalled at their Best Products in Richmond.
