The sculpture is set into a niche several stories high on the front facade of the old Academie St. Regis (St. Regis Academy) which was built in 1910-1911 and dedicated on Aug. 1, 1911. In 1973 the school closed and in 1980 the building was sold. It has since been renovated to be a senior citizen's residence. The sculpture once had a crown of lights in the shape of a halo which was lit on holy days. IAS files contain copy of related article from Berlin Reporter, Aug. 3, 1911.
