    Description: 
    The monument consists of a bust of Simon Bolivar on top of a tall, square base. Bolivar is dressed in his military uniform which has a high collar adorned with branches of leaves and berries. Around his neck is a medallion containing a portrait of George Washington.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was a gift of Venezuelan government to the citizens of Baltimore as a gesture of friendship. The sculpture was dedicated on the Venezuelan independence day. A total of eight cast of this bust were made. Other casts were given to the cities of New Orleans; Bolivar, Missouri; and Bolivar, West Virginia.
