Inscription:  (Behind the pillow of air mattress:) Nino Childs 1989 signed Description:  The Siscowet Bench consists of several elements that represent the image of Lake Superior. A bench modeled after an inflatable air mattress is connected to a flat surface that appears to represent water. Underneath the bench are half of a propeller, two sets of three fish swimming in a school, a large lake trout and a steel rope attached to these elements. The sculpture is on a base made of concrete inlaid with rocks from the lake.
