Inscription:  (On plaque on rear of base:) "GEORGE F. YOSTEL/SCULPTOR/CINCINNATI, OHIO/1939" (On base, incised lettering:) ROXIE HIGHLAND/15855 (On round plaque on front of base, raised lettering:) FEBRUARY/20/1939 signed Description:  The horse, Roxie Highland, stands with its proper left front leg and proper right rear leg raised. The horse's head is erect with its ears pointed up and its tail raised. The sculpture is mounted atop a tapered block base. The sculpture was originally located in downtown Louisville and was relocated to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington in 1984.
