Description:
The memorial consists of four uniformed, military figures, each representing a different war. The World War I soldier has his proper right arm in the air, perhaps holding a grenade. He holds his rifle with his proper left hand, resting the butt on the ground, and wears a helmet, a belt with pouches, and leggings. The World War II sailor holds binoculars to his chest, and wears a cap and life vest. The Korean War paratrooper wears parachute gear and holds a helmet against his chest with his proper right hand. The Vietnam marine emerges through waist-high vegetation, holding a rifle in front of him with both hands. He wears a helmet with straps hanging loose, the sleeves of his shirt are rolled to his elbows. Each sculpture is mounted upon a tall square base along a walkway.
