    Remarks: 
    Charles L. Carson was the architect of the James Williamson Bosler Memorial Library Hall at Dickinson College and the sculpture was originally located above the library, but was removed when the building was altered and refaced with limestone in 1941. The sculpture was dedicated at its present location by the Class of 1913 at its fifty-fifth reunion. IAS files contain related information from Mary Pardo's "Dickinson College as an Architectural Environment," Carlisle, 1985, pg. 16.
