    Description: 
    Two painted blue abstract figures formed out of twisted steel. The figures represent the struggle individuals have communicating with each other. The proper left figure appears to be male and the proper right figure appears to be female. Both figures hold their arms up. The steel is cut in a zig-zag fashion to create hair for the proper left figure. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular block base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was a gift from Muriel and Philip Berman. The sculpture was once on display as part of Berman's collection in the Allentown Hilton. Conflicting execution dates for sculpture are reported: SOS! surveyor gives date of 1981; and excerpts from Myra Yellin Goldfarb's "Stepping Stones into the Past," City of Allentown, and "Sculpture in the Park," City of Allentown, report date of 1979. IAS files contain a transcript of a related excerpt from Myra Yellin Goldfarb's "Stepping Stones into the Past: Allentown's Outdoor Public Sculpture, 1900-1988," City of Allentown; and a related excerpt from "Sculpture in the Park: From the Collection of Muriel and Philip Berman," City of Allentown. IAS files contain a related article from The Morning Call (Allentown, PA), Jan. 10, 1987.
