Commissioned by the student body of Allan Hancock College in honor of its founder, Captain G. Allan Hancock (1875-1965). The school was formerly the Hancock College of Aeronautics. IAS files contain an excerpt from "G. Allan Hancock: A Pictorial Account of one Man's Score in Fourscore Years," by DeWitt Meredith, 1964.
