    Description: 
    A bronze figure of a Civil War soldier stands atop a granite shaft adorned on each side with bronze inscription plaques listing the names of those who died during the Civil War. On the front of the shaft there is an oval relief plaque with a profile portrait Abraham Lincoln. The soldier at the top of the shaft stands with his rifle held vertically in front of him, his right hand holding the barrel and his left hand resting across the top of the barrel. He stands with his left foot forward and his head turned slightly to his left. He wears a cap and a long coat over his military uniform.
