A young student sits on one side of a rectangular bench with his hands on his knees and his legs spread apart. He has short, curly hair and wears a sweater with "CARPE DIEM" across the front. The sculpture and base sit on brick pavers and are surrounded by trees, each tree symbolizing a family that sponsors an exchange student.
