    Remarks:
This monument to Manuelito (1821-1894), a Navajo chief and leader of the last band of Navajos to surrender, was commissioned by C. N. Cotton, owner of the trading post Manuelito frequently visited. Cotton placed the statue above the entrance and it stands there today, although the facade surrounding it has changed. The building where the figure is located is called the C. N. Cotton Warehouse. IAS files contain excerpts from the National Register of Historic Places sheet for the building on which the figure stands, as well as biographical information on Chief Manuelito from A. G. Cash and Carry.
