    Description: 
    Totem pole carved of red cedar depicting the history and natural history of the city of Mukilteo. At the top of the pole is an eagle clutching a salmon in its talons. Below the eagle are interwoven ropes representing the eagle's nest. Below the nest is a relief of the Rosehill School building and a school bus. Below the school is a bramble motif. Below the bramble is a relief of Park Street, including the old church, the Mukilteo Hotel and the Mukilteo Store. Below this is a Celtic design of interlocking chains. The bottom relief is of the Mukilteo ferry, a lighthouse, a gill-netter boat, a sailboat and three killer whales. A wave motif completes the twenty-one foot design.

    Remarks: 
    The pole was donated to the city by the artist and the Jerome R. Waldbaum Family in honor of Milton and Miriam Waldbaum. Cost of the pole was $1,500. AS files contain copy of related article from The Everett Herald, February 1992. IAS files contain copies of correspondence related to the donation and placement of the pole. IAS files contain copies of the artist's statement and the dedication ceremony program.
