    Description: 
    Civil War soldier in uniform stands at parade rest. Both his hands clutch the barrel of his rifle, the butt of which rests on the ground. The soldier wears a cap, coat, pants, and boots. He stands atop a tall pedestal with inscriptions and a relief of the G.A.R. emblem.
