    Owner:
Larabee's Building Supply, Route 15, Across from Joe's Pond Beach, West Danville, Vermont 05873
    Remarks:
The piece is believed to be by Edward Ayer, who owned a stone carving shed on the current site of Joe's Pond Public Beach. According to family descendants, the visor was chipped in the carving process and the statue never completed. Reportedly, another statue was made and is now located in the St. Johnsbury Cemetery. The original statue was apparently discarded and buried outside the shed; but in 1973/74, Larrabee family members uncovered the statue and sited it outside their firm.
