Remarks:
IAS files contain several related articles from the Bennington Banner (Bennington, VT), Aug. and Sept. 1911, and a copy of the National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form describing the piece. The monument, which cost $4,000, was the gift of Colonel Olin Scott. IAS has several photos on file: two historic postcards (photos taken before it was hit by an automobile in January 1992) and several photos after automobile accident. IAS files contain additional citations for related articles.
