Abstract sculpture which includes a moon disk or a vertical circle of steel that widens on one side into a crescent. Painted dark brown, it rings a sun disk. The sun disk contains 24 stones (serpentine, marble and granite) which each tilt to catch the sun from the south. The white stones in the sun disk are arranged in a figure-eight pattern (or an analemma). Carved into the stones are the names of the months and the twelve signs of the zodiac.
