Remarks:
The Bradford Historical Society has a file on Adm. Clark, this statue and the dedication ceremony. The idea for the statue originated at least as early as March 1924 and had the backing of Clark's family. Citizens contributed to the subscription funds to pay for the work. The statue commemorates Rear Admiral Clark, who was born in Bradford in 1843. See IAS files for historic photogragh of the sculpture from an unidentified source.
