Description:
Four plaster, bas-relief panels, one on each side of a historical marker set into semi-circular recess in concrete. The front and back reliefs depict a two figures seated in a covered wagon pulled by two oxen. The side reliefs depict a man pulling a handcart, with a woman standing near the cart, holding an object in her proper right hand. A young child stands behind the cart.

Remarks:
The total cost of the sculpture was $120.95. Daughters of Utah Pioneers contributed $2 each and the remainder of the money was donated by townspeople. The sculpture was originally located approximately 30-40 feet east of its original location. It was moved in 1982, to stand in front of the church. IAS files contain unpublished essay by Rose Ann G. Hafen dated November 17, 1939, which includes historical photocopies of the monument.
