Inscription:  (copyright symbol) AVARD FAIRBANKS 1980 signed Description:  Full-length standing figure of Moroni dressed in a long, flowing robe, with shoulder-length hair held by a headband. He holds an object at waist-level. The statue commemorates Moroni (355-421 ad), one of the Mormon prophets who appeared resurrected Sept. 21, 1823 to the seventeen-year old Joseph Smith.
