Full-length standing figure of Moroni dressed in a long, flowing robe, with shoulder-length hair held by a headband. He holds an object at waist-level.

Remarks:
IAS files contain transcription of text on nearby plaque and text on plaque located on the back of the base, which quotes Book of Mormon, Ether 2:10. The statue commemorates Moroni (355-421 ad), one of the Mormon prophets who appeared resurrected Sept. 21, 1823 to the seventeen-year old Joseph Smith. Money for the statue was raised by the Manti Destiny Committee, a nonprofit organization who commissioned the work and donated it to the City.
