    Shanghai Pierce stands facing east. His proper right hand holds his hat at his side and proper left hand clutches the lapel of his coat.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture marks the grave of A. H. Pierce (1834-1900) and his family. Shangai Pierce, built one of the Texas' largest land and cattle business with his brother, following the Civil War.
