    Description: 
    A stone sculpture of a soldier standing at parade rest. The moustached figure holds the barrel of a rifle in both hands. The butt of the rifle rests on the plinth at his feet. Both legs are straight. He wears a military uniform which includes a brimmed hat and knee-high boots. The figure stands atop a simple rectangular base.

    Remarks: 
    Erected for local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9654. According to SOS survey, this statue of a Spanish American War soldier should have been delivered to New York, but instead ended up Tennessee, while New York received Tennessee's Civil War soldier statue. Beside the statue is a time capsule which is to be opened in the year 2026.
