    Description: 
    A standing Confederate soldier with his arms crossed in front of his chest and the palm of his proper left hand resting on the barrel of his rifle. The butt of the gun rests in front of his proper right foot. His proper left foot is slightly forward and bent at the knee. A supply bag hangs on his proper left hip. A canteen hangs on his proper right hip. His uniform also includes a brimmed hat and a hip-length jacket. He stands atop a rectangular tiered base which is surrounded by a fence.

    Remarks: 
    Within the monument's fenced enclosure is a marker with an inscription which reads: BURIED OCT. 4, 1973/OPENED OCT. 4, 1998/BY HENRY CO. COURT.
    Lost and broken rifle was replaced with a real rifle, around 1982. The surrounding fence was built around 1989.
