    Description: 
    Rough-hewn obelisk stands on a square base and a three-tiered platform. A small pyramid of cannon balls tops the obelisk and a band of stars encircles the center. Decorative reliefs on the base include a cannon, crossed sabers, crossed rifles and a flag on a broken flagpole. The years "1861" and "1865" appear on opposite sides of the lower portion of the obelisk.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture contains a time capsule to be opened March 12, 2085. A low, iron fence stands around the work.
