    Description: 
    Figure of soldier standing at ease on top of columnar base. He wears a brimmed hat and has a bag or pouch on his proper right hip. He appears to lean on his rifle which he holds by the barrel with both hands, the butt resting by his feet. There is a tree stump behind his proper right leg. Upper base is decorated with relief of a wreath surrounding CSA monogram. Flanking base is a wall with two small columns on either end. In front of base is a granite tablet dedicated to Moses Wood which was added in 1932.

    A granite tablet in memorium to Moses Wood was placed in front of the base in 1932 by the Moses Wood Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
